Flo was born in Abidjan, Ivory Coast and grew-up in Paris, France. In her teens, a love affair with dance was cut short by a horseback riding accident.
She moved to Colorado in 1998, leaving behind her family and a familiar way of life. Flo was blessed to discover yoga in 2002. Her first encounter with the practice echoes the experience of many practitioners. She walked out of her first class with an incredible sense of peace and resonance in her body that she hadn't experienced in a long time. It felt as if she had danced again.
As a yoga instructor, Flo wants her students to feel empowered to reconnect to their bodies and in so doing, heal themselves. The body tells our individual stories and by listening, in the stillness of our practice, we can let go of what no longer serves us and create an opening for peace, joy, grace and well-being.
Flo's teaching is influence by Bryan Kest, Janet Stone, and Shiva Rea. Her classes are infused with positive energy, warmth and playfulness.
In 2010, Flo's love for the ocean led her to take another leap of faith and move to Costa Rica. She currently resides in Playa Avellanas where she surfs everyday, remembers to breathe deeply and truly feels at home. Read Flo's blog
